Impetus-PEF have sharpened our focus, improved our use of data and increased our confidence that we’re making lasting change to the lives of the disadvantaged young people we work with.
– Mark Vyner, CEO, TwentyTwenty
The need: NEET rates for 16-18 year olds in Leicester are the highest in the East Midlands. The cost of not earning or learning for six months can result in lower life time earnings and long-term unemployment.
Our charity partner: Working out of its three life skills centres TwentyTwenty in the East Midlands, TwentyTwenty develops self-belief, self-worth and motivation to help disadvantaged young people get the academic qualifications and work ready skills they need to find a good job and keep it.
Our impact: We’ve worked with TwentyTwenty to fine tune their services, and sharpen their impact to get more young people into sustained work and training. Retention levels are now at 81 per cent compared to 71 per cent last year and we’re helping them to more than double the numbers starting and completing programmes and getting into work.
